Sound Surveyor, Sonardyne International Ltd

Stand: E1

Sonardyne’s trials and research vessel ‘Sound Surveyor’ is a 12 metre long high speed catamaran that offers a large stable survey platform. With both dual moon pools and a hydraulic crane, a variety of equipment from acoustic transceivers and sonars to small ROVs, can be easily deployed. During Ocean Business 2013, demonstrations of Sonardyne’s latest 6G® acoustic and inertial navigation technologies will be conducted daily from onboard ‘Sound Surveyor’.

TMS Coral Wind, Applied Acoustic Engineering Ltd

Stand: L6

Applied Acoustics product demonstrations will take place throughout the three days of the show from the 14m Gemini fast cat catamaran, TMS Coral Wind, with its large dedicated area for survey equipment and technicians. MV FlatHolm, Coastline Surveys Ltd

Stand: K10

MV FlatHolm is the 24m survey and research vessel owned by Coastline Surveys Ltd. Over 12 years of ownership she has been adapted and refined to provide safe and efficient geotechnical and geophysical survey operations for Coastline as a survey contractor and also available to other survey companies and organisations on a charter basis throughout Europe. She is certified by the UK Maritime Coastguard Authority to 'Category 2' for day/night operations up to 60 miles offshore and has a full time crew including permanent qualified cook to provide a comfortable, competent and experienced working environment. Facilities include OTS mounts for multibeam and geophysical sensors, 6t A-frame and HIAB crane, fast winches, dedicated survey laboratory and redundancy of power supplies to 85kVA. MV FlatHolm has also been silenced for ornithological/PAM surveys, is COWRIE and JNCC compliant and importantly unusually economical on fuel for a vessel of her size.

Protector, RESON

Stand: L15

This vessel is a RESON SeaBat equipped 10.5m dedicated survey launch operated by ABP Southampton. In addition to the permanently hull mounted SeaBat 7101, RESON will be demonstrating the very latest 2013 year model SeaBat multibeam system, and PDS2000 survey data acquisition, processing and visualisation software.

Meon Surveyor, Teledyne Marine Group

Stand: S1

The S.V. Meon Surveyor is a 9.45m MCA Category 2 coded survey vessel owned by GeoSEA Limited, Containing an extended and enclosed wheelhouse providing a large instrument and survey laboratory complete with a full sized chart table. Teledyne Odom Hydrographic will be to showcasing their fully motion and position system integrated shallow water multibeam system, the MB1.

MV Shogun, R2Sonic

Stand: J8

MV Shogun is an MCA Category 2 dedicated 12m survey catamaran which has been modified to minimise survey equipment mobilisation time but maximise survey performance. The vessel is fitted with SONIC 2024 and SONIC 2020 Multi-Beam Echo-Sounders; an Applanix POS MV WaveMaster with an IP68 submersible IMU; a SeaBed RTK positioning system and Valeport sound velocity sensors.

Demonstrations of the SONIC sonars will be undertaken hourly throughout the event allowing customers to see first-hand the Ultra High Resolution (UHR) 700 kHz with 0.3° beam width resolution and TruePix capabilities of the system.

Night Star, WASSP Ltd

Stand: P8

WASSP Ltd will be exhibiting their new 2013 range of WASSP Multibeams during Ocean Business and demonstrating the 3250 model aboard the Night Star.

Real time 2D and 3D visualisation of the seafloor and water column are features standard with this cost effective IHO compliant Multibeam. The Night Star is owned and operated by Ocean DTM, a UK based dealer for WASSP Ltd.

The Guardian, Braveheart Shipping

Stand V36

The Guardian, specially designed for wind farms has been developed to fulfil the need for a vessel with a higher speed, larger carrying capacity and extended operational range giving increased accessibility to offshore assets.

The unique design of the Guardian vessel results in fast, safe and comfortable transfer of personnel and supplies in challenging sea conditions with safety as the highest priority.

RV Callista

Training and Demonstration Bureau

The catamaran RV Callista is the 19.75 metre (approx 65 ft) research vessel owned by the University of Southampton. With a capacity for up to 30 passengers, a robust ‘A’ frame mounted on the stern, she is capable of deploying equipment weighing 3 tonnes. The catamaran has a working deck aft, a wet lab amidships and a dry lab forward.
